Every site has a set of these, I understand that. However I ask that you bear with me and listen to what I have to say. After all, things run ever so much more smoothly when everyone knows what they are and are not allowed to do. I am very lax about my rules, and for that reason I suggest you do not try to argue about them. Comments and suggestions are always welcome of course, but when it comes to the basic foundations of this site, I trump you.
number one.
Please don't hesitate to ask if there anything you need help with; I am here to help you get the most out of this site, but I can't help you if I don't know that you need assistance. Along the same lines, if there is anything I can do to make the site more enjoyable, user friendly or sophisticated, let me know! Suggestions and comments are loved and welcomed, so take advantage of the PM system and the suggestion board.
number two
I have not installed a posting minimum, unlike many other sites out there, so I don't think it unfair to ask for a couple solid paragraphs per post. Two good paragraphs is usually sufficient material for the person replying to work off of. Less than that however normally causes problems for others, which is never fun. Your muse running away is going to be expected every now and then, so less than two paragraphs every once and a while will not be frowned upon. I simply ask that you do not make it a habit. If I see that you are consistently posting below two paragraphs, the staff will be forced to take action.
number three
While there will be no enforced set number of characters you can have, please be sure that you can keep them active. There really is no need to create four characters and then only use one. Also, please create a separate account for each character; I will not allow more than one character to be on an account, for any reason. You may claim as many, or as few canon characters as you'd like, but the staff reserves the right to ban the creation of certain character groups at any given time.
number four
Submitting an application? Please have the title of your application as follows: LAST NAME, first name. The status of the application would be nice as well but it is not mandatory. To keep things simple, if your application is still being worked on, posting [NF] for Not Finished, or [WIP] for Work in Progress, would be awesome.
number five
My site is rated R [I'm not kidding] and my literacy rate is Intermediate. We of course welcome more advanced rp-ers, just as I will allow more mature rated thread. Our only stipulation is that if your thread is going to be rated R or M, please make it known in the title. Not everyone likes to read that, and I respect everyone's wants and needs. As a random side note, if you are actually reading this, I thank you whole heartedly. If you want to get access to the application board, please type the word firefly where it asks for a password.
number six
A couple of small rules pushed into one here. Absolutely no advertising other sites in the c-box. None. Don't ever do it. I'll attack you with ebil sporks, and it will be very unpleasant. Thank you. Also: please, please, please do not try to hurry the staff. I do have life outside the world of the computer, and I may not reply to your questions or application the second they are posted. I do the best I can, which is pretty darn good all over, but sometimes things just take time. Lastly - do not, under any circumstances, bring any conflicts from the rp world outside of the treads. This includes in the cbox [though, in character cboxing is most welcome ^^], in PMs, or in the out of character board. If you have a problem with another member, take care of it off the site, in your own time and in your own space.
number seven
We do NOT, at any point, for any reason, discriminate based on gender, age race, religion, sexual orientation, disabilities or any other reason not stated here. Violation of this rule will result in automatic banning. So don't do it.
